Goat Fund Us: Update #11

Summer is finally here, and with the great weather everyone is spending a lot of time outside. Even though the farm is unfortunately not going to open this summer, we still like to share our daily life with the animals with you and keep you up to date on their care and any new developments.

Goat Fund Us: Update #10

Hi everyone, since our last update, there has been only positive news to report regarding the animals. The goat herd has grown and we have received another big donation from Top Shelf Feed! And as always, we are so grateful and thankful to you, our donors, for helping us keep the animals fed and sheltered during the pandemic.

Let me start again by saying how thankful we are for all the donations that we received especially since the last update. I can only imagine that the news of the farm maybe not opening this season must have been disappointing for many of you. We are all the more grateful for all the support that you’ve sent our way be it in the form of kind messages in acknowledgement of our situation as well as many donations. THANK YOU ALL!

Goat Fund Us: Update #7

Hello everyone, I feel the time has come for this update and this step, but it still is very difficult for me to find the right words. There has been lots happening all around us, first a long time of businesses and places being closed and now some of them are slowly reopening.

Goat Fund Us: Update #6

Hello everyone, last week we had a lovely surprise that I would like to share with you. In the middle of our normal daily routine of taking care of the animals as well as trying to make some plans a large donation cheque was dropped of with one of the staff. When I went down to the fence to thank the donor in person I learned the story behind this donation, a story that shows how diverse and innovative the community supporting the farm is.

Goat Fund Us: Update #5

Hello everyone, I have some more good news to share tonight as we were able to secure a couple of big loads of sawdust for the animals. That might sound rather insignificant but it’s very important to keep the animals on clean and dry bedding to provide a safe and healthy environment. Lately sawdust and shavings were difficult to get and since there are many farms and animals owners on this island there must be a high demand for bedding material.

Goat Fund Us: Update #4

Hello everyone, it is really time to give you an update from the farm. It’s been a little while since the last one but we’ve all been busy taking care of the animals as well as organizing help and supplies. Like for everyone else, this situation is still very foreign and new to us with its many challenges, multiple problems and countless questions. We don’t know how long this might be going on for and, although this uncertainly is difficult, we are trying to plan ahead as good as we can.
